TEXAS!

Well, we made it to Texas. It was quite the trip...but it didn't come without its wrenchs thrown into the works. Our last post was titled Moving Day, and it was quite the day. Early that morning I had left to the office gather my things and prepare to take it all to my next office. At about 9:30AM, I catch Jennifer online and she tells me that the movers called, actually 'text'-ed (?) that they couldn't make it and they were cancelling on us. Reason: Their moving truck wrecked. I thought she was kidding. Turns out she wasn't. Kinda stressful. But, we scrambled, made some calls, looked into some options, and by about 2:00 we were able to find a moving company, U-Haul, that could get our stuff from a near by drop off, down to Dallas. So after that was finalized, we were left to scramble to find a truck to move our things to the drop off and then come home and clean the house. By 7:30 PM, we were cleaning the house and had a whole nights work in front of us. An hour or so into the project, just when despair was gaining momentum, miralce-of-miralces, our good friends the Cheney's showed up with their two year old to help us clean. We couldn't have done it without them. They are the best for helping!

We drove to Utah the next day and stayed at my brothers. Quick Trivia: How many towns in the world, play host to TWO LDS Temples??? Answer: South Jordan. Thats where he lives. We stayed there for a week and hopped around from Provo and Salt Lake and even up to Bountiful to see Jennifer's good friends Alicia. We were also able to attend the wedding our good friend Sean Kofoed to his new wife Andrea. That was fun.

On our way out of Utah we stopped in Moab for a couple of hours and went to Arches National Park, to take a quick trip up to the Delicate Arch. It was a beautiful day with only a small crowd.

It was a hot day so sunglasses and the head-dress actually helped quite a bit.

After that we continued on through to Texas. And here we are.

Six weeks later, we are moved into our new apartment and getting to know our new ward members. We live in a town called Denton now and thats where I have opened my chiropractic business. Opening an office is always a scary and exciting thing but we're happy to be here.

More updates on the way.

On a closing note...this is what most of the drive looked like from my perspective: following Jennifer. Half way through she told me that I was changing speeds too much, so I told her that I would follow her. That worked out much better. =)
